Research on data storage and sharing of intelligent video surveillance in steel plants based on blockchain

The video surveillance systems in iron and steel plants face significant challenges, particularly in handling large amounts of data securely. Traditional systems are overly centralized, increasing the risk of data breaches, leaks, and making it difficult to manage and search data effectively. To address these issues, we propose a new approach: a video surveillance system for steel plants that uses blockchain technology to enhance data security and reliability. Edge devices are employed to tackle the challenge of managing large volumes of monitoring data and enhancing real-time transmission. The system utilizes the distributed architecture of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for storing detection data, while all videos are securely maintained in a cloud center. To safeguard against data and video leaks, a combination of attribute-based encryption and stream encryption is applied. Furthermore, a blockchain-based distributed storage architecture is introduced, enabling a dual storage system for both detection information and video content. Analysis shows that the designed system can ensure the security of data transmission and storage.
