摘要

A response spectrum analysis was conducted on a 147-year-old brick masonry heritage school building using spectral accelerations specified in the Standard Code of Practice (IS 1893–2016). These accelerations were applied as ground motions in both the X and Y directions of the structure. Isotropic material properties were assumed to evaluate the resulting normal and shear stresses numerically. Additionally, a parametric study was conducted by varying the isotropic material parameters, specifically the modulus of elasticity and Poisson’s ratio, to evaluate their influence on the stress response. The results indicate that the stresses are significantly more sensitive to changes in the modulus of elasticity than to variations in Poisson’s ratio.
