摘要

During long-term operation of power equipment in thermal power plants under creep and fatigue conditions, the damage to its metal increases significantly. The welded joints of steam lines and system elements made of heat-resistant 15Kh1M1F and 12Kh1MF pearlitic steels are particularly damaged. Their damage, which turns into failure during service life, is contributed to by the structural, chemical, and mechanical heterogeneity of the metal of welded joints, which increases accordingly. Therefore, it is advisable to identify the features of damage, generalize its manifestations, and systematize them. In general, damage develops through the mechanisms of creep, fatigue, and corrosion fatigue. Each of these mechanisms has its peculiar manifestations. Detection of damage makes it possible to establish the optimal time for its elimination and to increase the reliability of operation of the aging equipment of thermal power plants, primarily welded joints of steam pipelines, and their residual life.
