<p>This article begins by examining Paul Ricoeur’s engagement with structuralism, as initiated by Claude Lévi-Strauss, and later with Clifford Geertz’s cultural anthropology, in order to lay the groundwork for a reflection on digital justice. The aim will be to seek to understand human actions as multiple points of view and particular meanings through the symbolic mediations by which social life is objectified. By analyzing the modal transformation of an appeal court trial, the study highlights legal practice as a symbolic mediation between the individual and the collective. In this context, the article highlights the continued relevance of Ricoeur’s thought in the context of enaction in the legal field—particularly in light of the challenges posed by algorithmic despatialisation to the exercise of justice.</p>
