Electromagnetic water treatment in cooling systems of coal mills in thermal power plants
摘要
The paper presents the water treatment method for thermal power plants and cogeneration installations associated with the electromagnetic treatment of industrial water using powerful DC electromagnets. This method is well-known and has already been used in the mid-nineteenth century. With the development of the chemical industry, it is almost completely replaced by other techniques. It is necessary to reduce or eliminate the use of harmful chemicals and thus search for more eco-friendly and less expensive methods of combating the scale formation. This problem occurs in the production and is the most relevant for water treatment systems at thermal power plants and cogeneration installations utilizing DC electromagnets, since they are eco-friendly, and their cost is lower than that of chemical reagents. The obtained results confirm the DC electromagnets efficiency in changing parameters of water hardness and reducing the scale formation. The method can be used to improve the efficiency of thermal power equipment and in water cooling and treatment systems for various technological cycles in metallurgical and manufacturing industries.
