<p>This paper focuses on the fabrication of antimicrobial composites based on polypropylene and ZnO/Ag nanoparticles added to the polymer melt. ZnO/Ag nanoparticles are stabilized by incorporation of Tween&#xa0;80 emulsifier using ultrasonication for 15 min and then incorporated into the polypropylene matrix. Hot pressing is used to produce polymer films about 100 µm thick. It is shown that the addition of 0.5 wt.% of nanoparticles is required to produce a&#xa0;non-toxic antimicrobial composite with the appropriate tensile strength and flowability.</p>

摘要
