Corona discharge initiated in air at ≈ 400 V/s voltage growth rate
摘要
The paper studies the parameters of corona discharge from a negative pointed cathode. It is shown that the voltage growth rate of ≈ 400 V/s provides the formation of first Trichel pulses with the amplitude smaller than that of successive pulses until the formation of quasi-stationary current with the amplitude of ≈ 2 µA and larger. Using an intensified charge-coupled device camera system and high-resolution microscope, it is found that during the pulse-periodic quasi-stationary generation of Trichel pulses, the discharge plasma glow consists of two regions.
