Bis(aza-18-crown-6)-containing dibenzylidenecyclobutanone: structure and photonics of its supramolecular complexes with alkanediammonium ions
摘要
The structures and complexation of cross-conjugated dienones (ketocyanine dyes), such as bis(N-phenylaza-18-crown-6)-containing and model bis(diethylamino)-containing dibenzylidenecyclobutanones, with EtNH3+ and 1,ω-alkanediammonium ions (+H3N(CH2)nNH3+, n = 2–10, 12) were investigated by NMR, absorption, luminescence, and laser kinetic spectroscopy in MeCN. Ditopic bis(azacrown)-containing dienone and alkanediammonium ions with a short polymethylene chain form 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 2 : 2 complexes, whereas 1,ω-alkanediammonium ions with a long polymethylene chain form only 1 : 1 complexes having a pseudocyclic structure. The photophysical properties of the complexes of dienones with the ammonium ions were investigated. The complexation of bis(azacrown)-containing dienone with +H3N(CH2)nNH3+ ions (n = 7–10, 12) leads to an increase in the lifetime of the triplet state of the dienone. Evidence was obtained for the photorecoordination of NH3+ groups in the cavities of the azacrown moieties of the bis(azacrown)-containing dienone.
