<p>A new synthesis of five-membered aza peroxides of 4-aryl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine family was developed. Recyclization of 5-<i>tert</i>-butyl-1,3,5-triazinan-2-one with H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> in the presence of lanthanide salts gave a key intermediate, 4-<i>tert</i>-butyl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine. The most active catalyst for this reaction was Sm(NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>3</sub>•6H<sub>2</sub>O. The transamination of the synthesized 4-<i>tert</i>-butyl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine with aromatic amines provided various target aza peroxides.</p>

A new synthesis of five-membered aza peroxides of 4-aryl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine family was developed. Recyclization of 5-tert-butyl-1,3,5-triazinan-2-one with H2O2 in the presence of lanthanide salts gave a key intermediate, 4-tert-butyl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine. The most active catalyst for this reaction was Sm(NO3)3•6H2O. The transamination of the synthesized 4-tert-butyl-1,2,4-dioxazolidine with aromatic amines provided various target aza peroxides.
