摘要

Resource tests of the 0.3% Pd/C catalyst were carried out at a temperature of 300 °C, a contact time of 17 s, and a hydrogen/methyl ethyl ketone molar ratio of 1.25. No decrease in the technological parameters (methyl ethyl ketone conversion, 5-methyl-3-heptanone selectivity) was observed during 24 h of operation. According to the experimental results under the optimum conditions, the coupled methyl ethyl ketone condensation—hydrogenation process is characterized by external and internal diffusion limitations. The observed activation energy of 5-methyl-3-heptanone formation in the kinetic region was calculated.
