摘要

Development of the synthetic approaches to styrenes modified with fluorophores is an important field of modern organic chemistry aimed at designing new monomers that expand the possibilities of polymerization reactions in manufacturing promising electroluminescent, sensor, and charge-transfer polymer materials for their use in LEDs, transistors, and other organic electronics devices. The present review summarizes and systematizes recently published data (2010–2023) on chemical modification of styrenes by introducing into the styrene para-position the most popular fluorophoric aromatic and heteroaromatic units through the formation of the C—C and C—N bonds between the phenyl and aryl or aminoaryl substituents.
