摘要

This review presents an analysis of publications over the past eight years devoted to the study of zinc and other metal complexes in which interactions of the metal complexes with DNA were studied using physicochemical and biophysical methods to assess the mechanism of biological activity. The material is structured by research methods, and a brief information on the principles and capabilities of each method is presented. The application of these methods to study the mechanism of antitumor activity of the metal complexes is considered for a number of examples. In order to assess the predictive potential of these data, correlations between the antitumor activity of the metal complexes and the effectiveness of their interaction with DNA were analyzed.
