<p>The COVID-19 pandemic triggered a global shift in educational practices, necessitating the rapid adaptation of pedagogical models to maintain continuity in learning environments. The authors of this article conducted a systematic review of <i>emergency pedagogical models</i> (EPMs) deployed during the pandemic, examining their structure, implementation strategies and outcomes. By comparing <i>traditional pedagogical models</i> (TPMs) and EPMs, this study identifies the key lessons learned, successful strategies, and the challenges encountered in transitioning to emergency learning contexts. Through a detailed analysis of literature from 2020 to 2024, this research highlights how EPMs integrated digital technologies, addressed student engagement, and adapted assessment methods to promote resilience and flexibility in education. The findings underscore the importance of continuous teacher training, robust technological infrastructure, and institutional preparedness for future crises. Ultimately, this review offers a framework for developing more resilient pedagogical models, emphasising the need for a hybrid approach that combines the strengths of TPMs and EPMs to foster educational resilience and continuity in times of uncertainty.</p>
