12-Tungstophosphoric acid supported on MCM-41 as catalyst for glycerol acetalization
摘要
Acetalization of glycerol to yield solketal (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-methanol) was carried out over 12-tungstophosphoric acid (HPW) catalysts supported on MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve. The catalysts with different HPW loadings were prepared through ultrasonic irradiation and impregnation. The structural and textural properties of catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2-physisorption, FT-IR, TEM and SEM. The effects of various parameters, such as HPW loading, reaction temperature, acetone/glycerol molar ratio and catalyst amount on the glycerol acetalization were studied. The results suggested that 30 wt% HPW/MCM-41 catalyst exhibited better catalytic activity than other catalysts under investigated.
