<p>The purpose of the present study is to investigate the impact of learning from supervisor on communicative career competencies and the mediating effect of using resources. Furthermore, the moderating role of intentional behaviour is also examined. A response of 316 full-time working professional were collected. The authors employed Hayes PROCESS Macro (Model 4 and 7) and bootstrapping procedure to investigate the hypothesis. Learning from supervisor was to be positively related to communicative career competencies through using resources. Furthermore, intentional behavior moderates the relationship between learning from supervisor and using resources, in way that association is stronger when intentional behavior is high. Also, intentional behavior moderates the indirect impact of learning from supervisor on communicative career competencies. The present study emphasized supervisor to demonstrate more supportive behaviors such as thinking together to solve work-related problems, see employees’ mistake as learning curve, assist employee in shaping their learning and career, which in turn builds communicative career competencies of employees. To best of our knowledge, the present research is the pioneer effort to examine the relationship among learning from supervisor, intentional behavior, using resources and communicative career competencies.</p>

Enhancing career competencies through learning from supervisor: a moderation-meditation analysis
