Reflections on the United Nations Transforming Education Summit
摘要
This article explores challenges and solutions related to transforming education, as outlined at the Transforming Education Summit. It focuses on the transformation of four key elements of education: having enough and adequate schools, sufficient quality and innovative teachers, a learner-centered curricula and pedagogical strategy, and the capacity to harness the digital revolution for education. It argues that, in order to achieve such a transformation at scale it is necessary to increase the amount of resources invested in education. Despite significant global education investment, there remains a stark inequality in funding between high- and low-income countries. The article argues that investing more equitably and efficiently in education is essential to overcoming this paradox and achieving sustainable development. It calls for both national efforts and international cooperation to break free from poverty traps and address systemic challenges to education.
