Exploring Gender Equality in Renewable Energy R&D: Evidence from Indonesian Public Research Centers
摘要
This study investigates gender equality public research institution, especially in renewable energy. Using the Harvard Analytical and the Moser Framework, current mix-method research examines gender equality and gender-specific needs across various stages of research processes. Women represent only 13–20% of inventors, even in fields with high female research participation. Male dominance in decision-making often undervaluing women’s contributions. Practical needs like daycare, lactation rooms, and flexible schedules remain unmet, limiting women’s engagement. The study concludes that gender participation influences access and control in research, emphasizing the importance of gender-responsive policies and institutional support to promote equality in public research institution.
