<p>The objective of this study was to examine the performance of Ethiopian educational institutions by exploring the relationship between human resource management (HRM) practices and employee engagement. Utilizing a descriptive research design, the study randomly selected 376 participants from three institutions. Descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, were used for data analysis. Findings revealed that HRM practices were unsatisfactory, resulting in low levels of employee engagement and subpar organizational performance. The researcher recommends that organizational leaders develop effective HRM strategies to enhance employee engagement, providing valuable insights into the significance of HRM in improving job performance.</p>
