Does Organizational Resilience Contribute to Employee Job Satisfaction?
摘要
The recent COVID-19 pandemic revealed the possible vulnerabilities that organizations face during sudden and unplanned events and the need to build organizational resilience that leads to favorable employee outcomes. Drawing from the resiliency scholarship, the 2022 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multivariate regressions, the study investigates the effect of organizational resilience on employee job satisfaction. Findings reveal that organizational resilience increases employee job satisfaction. The study recommends establishing government-wide resilience programs that consider the agencies' inherent strengths and weaknesses to promote a culture of crisis preparedness, mitigation, employee development, and leadership.
