<p>A method for quantitative determination of the sophoricoside (genistein 4′-<i>O</i>-′-D-glucopyranoside) content in Japanese sophora (<i>Sophora japonica</i> L.) fruit by reversed-phase HPLC in gradient mode on a Milichrom-6 microcolumn liquid chromatograph using a reference standard of sophoricoside isolated from the studied raw material using column chromatography and identified using UV, PMR, and <sup>13</sup>C NMR spectroscopy has been developed. It was determined that the sophoricoside content in Sophora japonica fruit varied from 5.84 ± 0.22 to 6.67 ± 0.25%. The error of a single determination of the sophoricoside content in <i>Sophora japonica</i> fruit was ±4.51% with a confidence probability of 95%.</p>
