<p>A series of new cyclohexanol derivatives has been synthesized from polyfunctional substituted cyclohexanols and binucleophilic reagents. Some of them have been tested for antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The growth-inhibiting effect of the compounds was independent of structural features of the bacterial membrane and cell wall. A dependence of the antibacterial effect on the compounds on their concentrations was noted.</p>

A series of new cyclohexanol derivatives has been synthesized from polyfunctional substituted cyclohexanols and binucleophilic reagents.
