<p>The article presents results from the development of a sealing gel for implantation of dental prostheses. The dynamic viscosity of sealing gels at various concentrations of carbopol and active ingredients was studied. A gel sample with a dynamic viscosity of 6.2 Pa · s and a thymol concentration of 0.8% was selected as optimal. The pH of the gels and the colloidal and thermal stability were studied. The analytical results showed that the pH value did not exceed the established norm. The gels were stable throughout the observation period for determining the colloidal stability. No separation of the aqueous phase or stratification after centrifugation was observed. None of the gel samples showed phase stratification at temperatures of 40 – 42°C. The results of the general action and the acute toxicity indices upon subcutaneous administration of the sealing gel showed that the gel belonged to toxicity class VI, LD<sub>50</sub> ≥ 5000 mg/kg. The gel had high antiexudative activity. Studies on the sealing (resorption) of the gel showed that the gel was practically not resorbed in the body for 1.5 months.</p>
