<p>Our research focuses on exploring the hepatoprotective potential of <i>Scutellaria linearis</i> Benth. The total flavonoid content was determined using the reported protocol. We investigated its ability to mitigate hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride in mice. Acute oral toxicity tests demonstrated no behavioral adverse effects in mice, paving the way for further investigation into the plant’s hepatoprotective properties. In a seven-day <i>in-vivo</i> study involving the crude extract and its successive fractions<i>,</i> effective results were obtained. Biochemical analysis revealed a substantial reduction in elevated biomarker levels (SGOT, SGPT, ALP, and bilirubin) caused by CCl<sub>4</sub>. Notably, higher doses (100 to 200 mg/kg) led to a remarkable decrease in liver enzyme levels, with a reduction of up to 10-12 times. Histopathological examinations indicated limited liver necrosis, further underscoring the hepatoprotective potential of the plant containing a significant quantity of flavonoids.</p>
