<p>The effects of solvent and crystallization conditions on the formation of various polymorphic modifications of cabozantinib-(<i>S</i>)-malate were studied using powder x-ray diffraction. A new polymorphic modification of cabozantinib-(<i>S</i>)-malate was isolated and identified using x-ray phase analysis. The results obtained in the work may be useful in technology development for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients</p>
