摘要

The aim of the present study was to investigate the composition and content of flavonoids in Japanese sophora fruit extract and to evaluate its cerebroprotective and antioxidant activity. The study resulted in the identification of glycosides of kaempferol, quercetin, genistein, and isorhamnetin in the extract using an HPLC-UV-MS method. Chemical analysis showed that the content of the sum of flavonoids was 50.82 ± 1.02%. The extract at the maximum experimental dose of 200 mg/kg was found to have a cerebroprotective effect in a cerebral ischemia model in white rats. The survival was 67% with a control value of 20%. The neurological deficit was 26.5% less (p ≤ 0.05) than the control. The DPPH test showed that the extract exhibited pronounced antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 206.97 ± 22.5 μg/ml.
