<p>Here, we investigate the effects of the Rashba spin–orbit interaction (RSOI) and magnetic field on the electronic and optical properties of a GaAs quantum dot. For this purpose, the energy eigen spectra is obtained by solving the Schrödinger equation within the framework of the screened Kratzer potential by employing the Nikiforov–Uvarov functional analysis method. The obtained analytical expressions are utilized to calculate the total refractive index change (RIC) and absorption coefficient (AC) by taking into account the influence of a magnetic field with RSOI. The results indicate that both RSOI and magnetic field significantly influence the energy levels, RIC and AC of the considered Quantum dot.</p>
