Triple-band anisotropic absorber based on the hybrid graphene/black phosphorene disk-plus-shaped structure
摘要
Based on a periodic disk-plus-shaped structure made of graphene, hexagonal boron nitride, and black phosphorene (G/hBN/BP), we suggest an infrared triple-band absorber. This absorber not only exhibits multiband responses, but also demonstrates significant anisotropy that surpasses that of individual graphene or BP layers. Notably, in both transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) polarizations, the hybrid G/hBN/BP structure displays robust and anisotropic plasmonic response characteristics across the 5–15 µm wavelength range. Our findings reveal that the proposed structure achieves absorption rates of up to 70% of electromagnetic radiation at three distinct peaks for both polarizations. According to the coupled wave theory, the absorber's quality factor may reach 14.42 at λ = 10.03 μm for TE polarization and 19.90 nm at λ = 14.31 μm for TM polarization. Importantly, this triple-band absorber can be effectively tuned by adjusting the geometrical parameters and the doping levels in the graphene and BP layers. Due to its tunability, it may be used as a highly efficient triple-band absorber with exceptional properties in the construction of polarization-selective and tunable high-performance devices in the mid-infrared, such as polarizers, modulators, and photodetectors.
