Triangle wave chaotification method
摘要
This work presents a chaotification technique that makes use of the triangle wave function. This function is piecewise linear, periodic, and bounded, so it’s simple structure makes it a viable choice for chaotification. The chaotification technique is the composition of this function with any seed map from the literature, and is parametrized by four control parameters. First, a relation between the Lyapunov exponent of the seed map and the chaotified map is derived. Then, several map examples are provided, using common seed maps like the sine and tent map. Some of these maps exhibit robust chaos, indicating the efficiency of the technique in generating robust chaotic maps. The key space is also significantly increased, due to the addition of four new parameters. An application to a pseudo-random bit generator is also considered (PRBG). The paper also presents a multidimensional dynamical system based on a triangular wave, which has all positive Lyapunov exponents. This work can be a starting point for considering several more periodic wave functions for chaotification.
