Multidisciplinary analysis of the park fire: advancing mega-fire management
摘要
The 2024 Park Fire exemplifies California’s increasing vulnerability to mega-fires, driven by climate change and complex management challenges. This study analyzes CAL FIRE incident reports, NASA satellite imagery, and governmental policies to evaluate fire progression, ecological and socioeconomic impacts, and response effectiveness. Despite employing advanced satellite monitoring and AI-based predictive analytics, results indicate significant deficiencies in inter-agency collaboration, resource allocation, and community preparedness. Recommendations include enhancing real-time predictive modeling, standardizing inter-agency communication protocols, and increasing proactive community engagement to improve resilience against future mega-fires.
