<p>The study reported here demonstrated the specificity of the influence of stresses of different origins – psychogenic trauma and forced swimming – and the effects of their combined action on the psychoemotional status and feeding behavior of male rats in the early post-exposure period. Mental trauma caused by vital stress led to the development of anhedonia and suppression of feeding behavior on the background of a decrease in orientational-exploratory activity and an increase in emotional tension in animals in the open field and elevated plus maze tests. Stress caused by forced swimming led to suppression of motor and orientation-exploratory activity. The combined actions of stresses of different origins led to cross-adaptation, with leveling of the depressive component of behavior evoked by vital stress and normalization of the exploratory and motor activities suppressed as a result of forced swimming.</p>
