<p>Parkinson’s disease (PD) produces both motor and non-motor symptoms, and among these an important position is occupied by cognitive impairment. This article provides an overview of the spectrum of cognitive impairment in PD, with analysis of their pathomorphological and neurotransmitter basis. Risk factors, diagnostic criteria, and issues of complex therapy including both neurotransmitter and neurotrophic drugs and methods of physical and cognitive rehabilitation are discussed.</p>
