<p>The influences of irrelevant information on attention and its control depending on the level of somatoautonomic changes (severe, moderate, absent) was studied in a group of 49 young women using an experimental model of the emotional Stroop test. The subjects performed the task of recognizing facial expressions of anger, fear, and disgust, hindered by superimposition of printed words on the images of faces, these being the names of emotions congruent or incongruent to the facial expression presented. The results showed that the presence of autonomic dysfunction worsened control of attention, hindered suppression of verbal information irrelevant to the task, and led to displacement of attention, these effects being determined quantitatively by the magnitude of the Stroop effect. The Stroop effect was maximal in the group of young women with more severe changes in the somatoautonomic domain. Among the negative emotions used in the work, disgust was the most effective for analyzing the influence of autonomic dysfunction on displacement of attention.</p>
