<p>While consumers enjoy the convenience of online shopping, they also struggle with the difficulty of inferring the real quality of a product before making a decision. Brands can both provide consumers with detailed information about products and services, and affect consumer perception by using augmented reality-supported mobile applications. Recently, online channels have begun using augmented reality to showcase their products. However, most studies compared the application of augmented reality to shoes, make-up and sunglasses experiences, and just a few studies focused on furniture related augmented reality experiences. This study hopes to explore the impact of augmented reality on consumer purchase intentions on furniture. The proposed model is established and assessed using extended technology acceptance model suitable for augmented reality environments. Perceived enjoyment and perceived informativeness are added as external variables. Two shopping platforms are compared and a questionnaire was developed for the evaluation. Eighty participants were randomly assigned to either the treatment or control group. The only distinction between the two groups was the use of augmented reality applications. The experiment involved participants actively searching for large furniture (e.g., sofas), after which they completed a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and SmartPLS. The experiment’s results show the e-commerce platform designed based on augmented reality is superior to the traditional e-commerce platform. The analysis results show experimenters using the augmented reality app have a higher perceived enjoyment and perceived informativeness than those not using it.</p>
