<p>Eph-ephrin signaling plays crucial role in the development of nervous and cardiovascular system. Its role in female reproductive system development is unknown. Clinical observations in a rare developmental disorder, Craniofrontonasal syndrome, underscores the potential role of Eph-ephrin signaling in the development of female reproductive tract. In this minireview, the basics of Eph-ephrin signaling and its known role in development have been discussed. Putative role of Eph-ephrin in female reproductive tract development is discussed based on the available clinical evidence and animal studies.</p>
