Equilibrium Passenger and Social Optimality in an Airport Pick-up Scenario
摘要
This paper describes the airport pick-up scenario. We assume that taking a taxi is the primary transportation for passengers to leave the airport. And we study the situation that passengers arrive without any information about the system. Moreover, we take the matching cost between passengers and taxis into consideration. In an unobserved case, we derive the passengers’ equilibrium joining strategy and the socially optimal strategy uptill their arrivals. We also analyze the social welfare maximization. Numerical examples are used to validate our theorems. And, we analyze the results from the perspective of social managers.
