<p>The information on the NdBr<sub>3</sub>-TlBr system phase diagram was investigated, and evidence of&#xa0;a&#xa0;surprising topology of results was found in the results that were previously measured. The&#xa0;system contains two intermediate compounds, Tl<sub>2</sub>NdBr<sub>5</sub> and TlNd<sub>2</sub>Br<sub>7</sub> only. The&#xa0;difference between this and the previously published phase diagram (1970s) was discussed. The dependence of the heat capacity of solid and liquid congruently melting Tl<sub>2</sub>NdBr<sub>5</sub> was determined on temperature. The compatibility of the obtained data was examined using the&#xa0;CALPHAD method. The dependences of mixing enthalpy and mixing entropy of the liquid phase on mole fraction were estimated.</p>

The information on the NdBr3-TlBr system phase diagram was investigated, and evidence of a surprising topology of results was found in the results that were previously measured. The system contains two intermediate compounds, Tl2NdBr5 and TlNd2Br7 only. The difference between this and the previously published phase diagram (1970s) was discussed. The dependence of the heat capacity of solid and liquid congruently melting Tl2NdBr5 was determined on temperature. The compatibility of the obtained data was examined using the CALPHAD method. The dependences of mixing enthalpy and mixing entropy of the liquid phase on mole fraction were estimated.
