Uranium extraction from phosphorites leach liquor, El-Sibaiya East area, East Nile Valley, Egypt
摘要
This study shows the effective extraction of uranium from phosphorites leach liquor using Amberlite IRA-458 ion exchange resin. The study evaluates the extraction process from the points of view of equilibrium, kinetics, and radiative hazard indices. The process showed rapid uranium uptake and high adsorption capacity (up to 63.85 mg/g) and followed the Langmuir and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models, showing mono-layer chemisorption. These results underline the resin’s suitability for uranium recovery from acidic sulfate media, offering a promising route for phosphorite resource use.
