摘要

Breakthroughs in nanotechnology applications in nuclear medicine hold the potential for improved diagnostic and treatment alternatives. In recent years, there has been a greater emphasis on producing nano constructs that may be utilized as core platforms for connecting medicinal radionuclides with various methodologies for molecular imaging and targeted medication administration. Methods for radiolabelling nanoparticles - classic to modern intrinsic methods, development of a single molecular imaging probe, the importance of radionuclide selection, dose and in vivo behaviour, pharmacological profiling, drug delivery systems, and the improvements and uses of nanoparticles in theragnostic approaches, particularly tumor imaging and treatment are discussed.
