<p>This study investigates the concentration of radon using SMART RnDuo technique and corresponding radiological risk in drinking water supplies. The radon concentrations in water, vary between 0.14 and 24.70&#xa0;Bq/l, with a mean value of 6.58&#xa0;Bq/l. The study also examined the physiochemical properties and annual effective dose (ingestion and inhalation) across various age groups and body organs. The estimated radiation doses for different age groups were found higher than the WHO safe limit of 100 μ Sv y<sup>−1</sup> except for the age groups of 0–12&#xa0;months infants. The estimated ELCR (Excess lifetime cancer risk) concentration for all age groups was under the safe limit of 1.45 × 10<sup>–3</sup> recommended by UNSCEAR.</p>
