摘要

Sorption of Pd from acidic media was investigated using laboratory synthesized resorcinol–formaldehyde discs, functionalized with thiourea. The discs were characterized via SEM–EDS, FT-IR and EDXRF spectrometry. Pd-sorption efficiencies of the discs, evaluated using both inactive and radiotracer solutions, were compared to those of conventional strong anion exchange membranes. It was established that the disc forms are well-suited for batch separations, wherein very large volume reduction factors are the major goals. Among various de-sorbents studied, 1 M NaOH was found to be the best (~ 50% in single step).
