摘要

A polemic is given regarding the experimental molar isentropic compressibility data, Kφ,S, for L-serine and L-leucine dissolved in aqueous potassium oxalate (KOX) solutions. The authors’ published linear mathematical expressions to describe the variation in Kφ,S with the molal concentration of the two amino acids, mA. L-leucine plots of Kφ,S versus mA show significant deviations from linearity. Questions are also raised concerning the authors’ statements that implied the equation coefficients were determined through a nonlinear least-squares regression analysis method.
