<p>Pr<sup>3+</sup>:YLF continuous wave (CW) cyan laser from <sup>3</sup>P<sub>0</sub> to <sup>3</sup>H<sub>4</sub> transition is first demonstrated at 494.8 nm. The 247.4 nm deep ultraviolet laser (DUV) is obtained with the method of efficient frequency doubling of a&#xa0;blue-diode-pumped Pr<sup>3+</sup>:YLF laser at 494.8 nm by Barium Borate (BBO) for the first time. With the incident pump power of 4.52 W by a&#xa0;fast axis collimating LD, TEM<sub>00</sub> deep ultraviolet laser at 247.4 nm is realized with the output power up to 158.6 mW. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on deep ultraviolet continuous wave Pr<sup>3+</sup>:YLF laser at 247.4 nm.</p>

Pr3+:YLF continuous wave (CW) cyan laser from 3P0 to 3H4 transition is first demonstrated at 494.8 nm.
