<p>With the rapid development of the domestic market economy and the rapid deepening of urbanization, the contradiction between urban residents and the construction of NIMBY facilities is increasingly fierce. As an important domestic and foreign municipal solid waste treatment facility, waste incineration power plants are often resisted by the surrounding residents because of their potential impact on the surrounding environment, and this contradiction is reflected in the change of urban housing price. In this paper, the Guodingshan Waste Incineration Power Plant in Wuhan City was taken as a case study. By constructing a housing hedonic price model and a Generalized Additive Model, the paper empirically analyzed the spatial impact of NIMBY facilities on housing prices, and explored the spatial heterogeneity of its impact based on the distance and orientation dimensions. The results show that: (1) Guodingshan waste incineration power plant has obvious negative externalities on the surrounding housing prices. As the distance between the house and the waste incineration power plant decreases by 1%, the house price decreases on average by 0.154%. (2) The impact of Guodingshan Waste Incineration Power Plant on the surrounding residential prices is about 8 km. Within this influence radius, the degree of residential price affected by power plants shows a decreasing trend with the increase of distance. (3) Compared with the residential units located in other wind directions of waste incineration power plant, the residential units located in the downwind direction have a more significant depreciation in the house price gradient.</p>

Study on the influence of environmental NIMBY facilities on the price space of urban housing: taking Wuhan City as an example
