Simulation of Dynamic Adsorption in Multiphase Flows in a Porous Medium: Influence of the Capillarity Number and of Edge Wetting Effects
摘要
This work examines the dynamic adsorption of active substances in multiphase flows in a porous medium. The prime objective is to investigate the influence of the capillarity number and of the wetting angle on the amount of adsorbed substance in the porous medium. The work presents the characteristic of dynamic-adsorption regimes as a function of the capillarity number and the adsorption constant. The results are obtained by mathematical simulation that is based on lattice Boltzmann equations. Computational experiments are conducted in a digital pore-space model.
