<p>An investigation has been made into the heat transfer regimes of the heat-releasing layer of spherical fuel elements with gas and liquid coolants under the conditions of a viscous-inertia flow regime. Generalized criteria dependences have been obtained for calculating output temperatures of the coolant and fuel elements, which ensure safe work of a heat exchanger.</p>

An investigation has been made into the heat transfer regimes of the heat-releasing layer of spherical fuel elements with gas and liquid coolants under the conditions of a viscous-inertia flow regime. Generalized criteria dependences have been obtained for calculating output temperatures of the coolant and fuel elements, which ensure safe work of a heat exchanger.
