摘要

The process of formation of cavities as a result of the high-velocity collision of segmented bodies with a semispace is considered. Results of numerical calculations of the penetration of pins with a uniform segmentation and a nonuniform one into a semispace are presented. On the basis of experimental data and results of numerical calculations, the characteristics of the indicated penetration were analyzed. It is shown that the depth of penetration of segmented pins into a semispace is larger than the depth of penetration of monolithic pins into it. It was established that the depth of penetration of nonuniformly segmented pins into a semispace increases with increase in the sizes of their segments. The analytical conclusions made are in agreement with the experimental data and the results of the numerical calculations.
