Interaction of Metal Melt with a Quasi-Solid Film on its Surface in an Alternating Magnetic Field with Changing Amplitude
摘要
The paper presents a mathematical model describing heat and mass transfer in a metal melt and elastically stressed states of a film on its surface in the presence of an alternating magnetic field. The stability of the oxide film on the melt surface is investigated at different magnetic field strengths and frequencies. The loading and destruction of thin films on the melt surface during its moving are considered. The mechanisms responsible for the primary destruction of the original film and its fragments are revealed. The frequency range of the magnetic field is found in which the film on the surface of the metal melt is strong enough to prevent intensification of the melt flow with an increase in the magnetic field strength, which contributes to the integrity of the film itself.
