摘要

A self-healing composite coating (MAO/PASP/CS) with a double-layer structure of polyaspartic acid (PASP)-loaded microarc oxidation (MAO) inner coating and chitosan (CS) outer coating was prepared on the surface of biodegradable WE43 Mg alloy. The microstructure, corrosion behaviour and self-healing effect of the MAO/PASP/CS coating were investigated accordingly. The microstructural characterization revealed that the MAO inner coating fabricated under 350 V voltage in the silicate-based electrolyte exhibited the most favorable microstructure, whose porosity, pore size and pore distribution were suitable for loading the PASP. The results of the immersion corrosion tests demonstrated that the corrosion resistance of the WE43 Mg alloy in the Hank’s balanced salt solution (HBSS) was effectively enhanced by the MAO/PASP/CS coating. The results of the self-healing experiments indicated that the MAO/PASP/CS coating possessed a good self-healing effect, which could autonomously repair in the HBSS within 15 days.
