摘要

Abstract

This work reports a straightforward strategy to construct a self-healing material integrating complementary dynamic interactions, both covalent Diels–Alder and supramolecular multivalent amide-hydrogen bonds via the aminolysis reaction of DL-N-acetylhomocysteine thiolactone, a derivative of a sulfur amino acid, in combination with the thiol-maleimide and maleimide-furan Diels–Alder “click” reactions. Via this strategy, a prepolymer bearing multiple amide groups and maleimide endcaps was cross-linked with a tri-furan cross-linker. The obtained material was able to heal scratches and complete cuts with tensile strength recovery of 84 ± 7%.
