<p>This article examines the sense of place among elderly, uneducated Mizrahi women in the southern Israeli city of Beersheva. Through a literary-cultural analysis of these women’s oral histories, it explores the rhetorical and poetic characteristics of their discourse on their sense of place. It is important to note that documenting women’s oral histories is of great significance to feminist research, as the perspectives of women—especially those who are uneducated—are often absent from archives and insufficiently represented in historical research. In this context, feminist oral history seeks to prioritize women’s personal and everyday experiences in research on places.</p>
